When the 2024 Hops in the Hangar event takes off Aug. 24, visitors can expect a day filled with food, fun, and a bevy of brews to whet beer fans’ appetites. Thirty-one different breweries will have more than 120 beers on tap for guests to sample.
“We’re talking IPAs and porters, stouts and sours, ciders, lagers, and wheat beers,” said Hops in the Hangar Co-Chair Mica Glaser Jones. “This is a great chance to come and try some beers that you might not have tried before. I didn’t think I liked sours until I tried one, and I’m like, ‘Wow, these are actually pretty good.’”

A Middletown brewery and a local tattoo artist collaborated to produce a signature beer and an unique beer can label for a craft beer event this summer. Hops in the Hangar, a beer festival, will be Aug. 20 at Middletown Regional Airport. Attendees will be able to sample 4-ounce pours of some of the 90 craft beer from 30 breweries.

MIDDLETOWN — Guests will enjoy a combination of historic aircrafts, plane rides and air shows highlighted by craft brews, food and more at Middletown’s Hops in the Hangar event this weekend. “We know the event is geared toward those who like airports, airplanes and craft beer, and it is a 21 and up event, but there is a lot of energy around it. Everyone is excited, on board, and has purchased tickets,” said founder Jamie Murphy.
